Q: Do I have to register for this service?
A: Users should register for the service. Registration is free of charge and there is no obligation to buy.

Q: How do I register?
A:Click on the New User Registration button and fill in the form by giving your contact info and at the bottom of the form filling in a User ID and your password. Click on the submit button. An email will be sent to you confirming the registration.

Q: Can I change my account details?
A: At any given time you can go to the Edit Account Page and change your user details. Confirm your changes by clicking the save button.

Q: How do I upload a new project?
A: Log on to the STLfix service, click on the Post New Project button and fill in the form that appears attaching the file.

Q: What happens after I post a project?
A: Two things can happen. If your file can be fixed automatically we will do so free of charge and send the fixed file back to you. If the file requires manual fixing we will send you an offer for this.

Q: What do I do after I received an offer?
A: If you agree to the quoted price you log on to the STLfix Service go to the relevant project page and click the confirm order button. You are then required to submit your credit card details and you can also indicate whether you need an invoice. After submitting the details the fixed file will be sent to you as soon as ready.

Q: What about data transfer security when using STLFIX?
A: Files are transferred to the service via secure internet connection (https protocol) after you have logged on to the service using your ID and password. Fixed files are made available to you either via secure download.

Q: How are files confidentially treated by the STLFIX service?
A: All files are treated with the strictest confidentiality. All members of the STLfix team are subject to confidentiality agreements. Files are kept for 30 days for reference after which they are deleted from the system.

Q: What browser is preferred to use?
A: We recommend you use Microsoft Internet Explorer V6.0, or equivalent, for access to our web site because the security tools (and other web features)used to protect your data were optomized for this browser, or later versions.
